High-purity quartz from India, for solar and semiconductor makers worldwide
Quartz is silica (silicon dioxide, SiO₂), one of the most common minerals in the earth's crust.
It is hard (7 on the Mohs scale), stands heat, and resists almost every chemical. The purer the quartz, the more it is worth: the purest grades become the silicon of solar cells and chips, and the crucibles and tubes they are made in. Coast Origin deals in these high-value grades, in three forms, sorted and graded to each buyer's order.

We deal mainly in high-value, high-purity quartz, for the factories that make silicon, solar panels and semiconductors, and the crucibles and tubes they work with.

Quartz is reduced in electric furnaces to solar-grade silicon, which is sliced into the wafers of solar cells.
The purest grades are the source of electronic-grade silicon, the material of chips.
High-purity quartz is melted into the crucibles in which single-crystal silicon ingots are grown.
Quartzware that stands extreme heat and keeps chip and solar-cell making free of contamination.
Fused quartz and clear, high-transmittance glass shield solar cells and let the most light through.
Lumps are smelted into metallurgical-grade silicon, the first step towards every silicon product.
Each form is sorted and graded to the buyer's order. Tell us what your process needs, and we match the grade.

For solar and electronic-grade silicon · silicon metalQuartz crushed and screened into even sizes.
For engineered stone · ceramics · flooringQuartz ground to a fine flour, to the mesh you need.
For ceramics & glazes · glass · paints · rubberGrades and sizes: lumps from 10 to 300 mm, grits and chips from 0.1 to 10 mm, and powder from 200 to 325 mesh, all to your order. A sample is sent on request.
